There are five common rules of magic that I would like to share with you.
Never reveal how a trick is done – No matter how tempting it might be or how much your spectators want the know-how, they will all be disappointed. The child like wonderment disappears and the intrigue is taken away.
Never perform a trick twice for the same audience – Performing a trick twice allows the audience to expect what’s coming. Although there are a few tricks that can be performed twice, this is the general rule.
Do not perform a trick unless the environment is right –Some tricks can have bad angles making them difficult to perform under certain circumstances. When in doubt perform tricks that are angle proof.
Practice –Performing a trick before perfected can cause embarrassment. Remember magic is an art form. Respect your craft.
